Some rewarding forest ‘zen’ time…

Bliss is a mental health day out in nature… In Japan, there is a practice called ‘forest bathing’ (shinrin-yoku): Shinrin in Japanese means “forest,” and yoku means “bath.” Starting in New Hope, PA, we walked 8 miles along canal-side forest trails, truly immersing ourselves in nature, a very calming and relaxing way to clear our minds and rest our senses. Towards the end of the walk, near Lambertville, we were rewarded by the fascinating sight of this abandoned rail car, covered in some amazing graffiti, with the trees reclaiming the space as their own. And here we are at the Oculus…

So, today was the first day we could get to the city to see my images that are featured in the MvVO Ad Art exhibition in NYC’s Oculus. If you have the opportunity to visit the exhibition, just be aware that it cycles through between ads, so don’t think you have missed it if you don’t see the work right away. It goes by real fast unfortunately, but appears again every about 10 minutes. My work (at least this first image “In the City of Lights“) is right near the beginning of the set of images to the left.
