Yesterday’s Tools

A few years ago, while in Santa Fe, New Mexico, for a wedding, we also had the opportunity to tour neighboring areas.

Nearby was the town of Madrid, population 321, an old coal mining town, which is now home to an artists’ community, with galleries lining New Mexico State Road 14 (known as the Turquoise Trail).

In the area there was an old mining workshop, where these tools and artifacts were strung up on the wall inside one of the rooms.
