Edge of Ellis

New York Harbor, situated between New Jersey and New York, is home to Ellis Island, which was the busiest immigrant inspection and processing station in the United States, between 1892 and 1954. The island is adjacent to the famous Statue of Liberty, who welcomed immigrants with her liberty torch raised up high.

There buildings on the island, which is now a national monument and museum, are rich in historic architectural detail. However, something I found particularly fascinating, was the corner edge of the main building, the detail of which I zoomed in on. It actually has a very modern look, despite the age of the building, and the result is a clean geometric abstract image,
