You may have read elsewhere in the descriptions of my work, that I absolutely love the beauty of Art Deco design. The Chrysler Building in the Turtle Bay neighborhood on the East Side of Manhattan in New York, is a masterpiece of Art Deco architecture.

This image is of one of the metal ornaments on the Chrysler Building, seen in isolation against the sky, depicting strength and a look to the future.

Approximately fifty of these ornaments protrude from the building’s corners over five floors, like gargoyles on an art deco-era office tower cathedral, and on the 61st floor they are represented as eagles, a nod to America’s national bird.

I never grow tired of the view of the building from my loft in Jersey City, the building is an inspiration to anyone who loves Art Deco.
