The Baroque fun-house mirror type reflection created in this dramatic wavy Parisian department store facade brings the historic old city filled with Haussmann-style architecture into the 21st century.
The building is a the new extension of the historic La Samaritaine department store in Paris, France, known for its art nouveau and art deco structures. The store’s buildings have undergone a major renovation. It is located in the first arrondissement, and area filled with Haussmann-style architecture which is reflected in the glass.
Baron Georges Eugène Haussmann was the person responsible for modernizing 19th-century Paris, and his influence and impact on the city was extensive.
Maybe we can refer to this as a “FunHauss” image!
