Venetian Arch

Venice as we know it, is really 118 small islands linked by 400 bridges into one sprawling Renaissance gem, making it a place like no other on earth.

So considering that uniqueness, it’s not surprising that this ‘impossible perspective’ image seems to show more in the reflection than it does in the straight on view. For example, is that reflected boat really there, since is not visible when looking at the bridge?

It’s also not often you can get a photo of Venice with no people in it, here it is only the serene canal, one of the hundreds that thread through the city, spanned by this beautiful stone arch bridge… with not even a gondola in sight.
