ALL SALES ARE FINAL
In October 2017, wildfires cast an eerie orange haze over Long Beach, transforming the city into a surreal landscape as ash drifted through the air like snow. Against that backdrop, I captured this image of the historic Art Theatre—originally opened in 1925 as a silent movie house and now a nonprofit cultural landmark known for screening first-run and independent films.
More recently, under a clear blue sky, I photographed a companion piece titled Art in Long Beach – Daytime, offering a brighter, more hopeful contrast to the earlier, haunting scene.
